Avant Arte wants to make art radically more accessible for a new generation. The company began as a cult blog of contemporary artists, initially inspired through rap lyrics and hip-hop album covers. That blog grew organically into the world’s largest and most engaged online art community, with more than 2 million of their followers under the age of 35.
The company collaborates with iconic contemporary artists like Jenny Holzer, Cai Guo-Qiang, Claire Tabouret and the Chapman Brothers, making their work more accessible to younger collectors through sculpture editions, print editions and unique works on paper. And they have built a highly engaged community of next-generation art collectors, which means Avant Arte’s artist launches are heavily oversubscribed, with many behaving more like fashion drops, selling out in under 30 seconds.
The company’s vision is to inspire a generation of millions of young people who love art like they love music and who collect works like they build their wardrobe.
We are currently a team of 70, split between London and Amsterdam, looking to scale to 100+ over the next 6 months. This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful early stage business at a pivotal moment in our growth, where you will have impact from day one.

WHAT WE NEED
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Sales Executive to join our London or Amsterdam team. Reporting to our Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing our collector base in Europe as well as building your own relationships with our collectors.
The ideal profile is someone with strong sales and client development skills, as well as a passion for contemporary culture, who is driven to help the sales team in achieving our targets.
We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved, but the core of your role will involve:
Engaging with our Europe based collectors and building your own active client book
Achieving sales and clienteling targets
Qualifying inquiries and translating these into transactions and meaningful relationships
Arranging phone calls with collectors to understand their art collecting journey
Reaching out to collectors who registered interest in our works
Providing exceptional service to ensure our collector experience is best-in-class
Identifying key platforms and individuals for customer outreach
Researching our artists and creating sales pitches for the team
Working closely with Marketing team on communications targeted for Europe
The main skills we're looking for are:
Exceptional communications skills: fluency in French are desirable AND English language (both verbal and written)
Passionate about providing great collector experiences and are commercially focussed: with proven experience in customer-facing roles in B2C environment, ideally in luxury, ecommerce or culture sectors
Passion for contemporary culture: and can demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary culture and a background within the arts is also desirable though not essential
Good research skills: with the ability to champion change in a fast-paced environment
Highly organised: with proven ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
Strong networking skills: with an excellent eye to spot opportunities and have an eye for detail
Social media savvy: with the confidence to learn new platforms and tools
Confident in using various softwares/systems: with experience using Excel and Google Sheets
