Avant Arte wants to make art radically more accessible for a new generation.
We started as a cult blog of contemporary artists, initially inspired through rap lyrics and hip-hop album covers. That blog grew organically into the world’s largest and most engaged online art community, with more than 2 million of their followers under the age of 35.
We collaborate with iconic contemporary artists like Jenny Holzer, Cai Guo-Qiang, Claire Tabouret and the Chapman brothers, making their work more accessible to younger collectors through sculpture editions, print editions and unique works on paper. And we have built a highly engaged community of next-generation art collectors, which means Avant Arte’s artist launches are heavily oversubscribed, with many behaving more like fashion drops, selling out in under 30 seconds.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
This role is for the Product Manager running the team building a nascent community product. Currently we are running several tests on the key value proposition and the growth mechanisms of the product, but it’s still early days. The community product is a pre-product/market-fit product which has huge potential to impact the future of Avant Arte.
Coordinate and conduct customer and market research to ensure we solve our customers most important problems;
Lead the feature development process: market study, requirement gathering, ideation, development & launch;
Work with a cross-functional team of software engineers and designers to produce elegant and customer centric solutions;
Ensure that the team meets deadlines by removing any obstacles;
Research, design and deliver rounded customer experiences in order to test your early stage assumptions.
Scale the product and the team once it achieves product market fit.
The skills and experience we’re looking for are:
Strong understanding of engagement metrics;
Understand the concept of flywheel/network effects and how to grow through product.
Have experience on white boarding solutions for complex issues;
Privilege outputs over complicated processes;
Great communication skills in both written and oral format;
You’re experienced in modern forms of product development processes;
Capacity to read and extract data from data;
You have a strong focus for great design and customer experience;
An attitude of fast experimentation.
