Avant Arte wants to make art radically more accessible for a new generation.
The company began as a cult blog of contemporary artists, initially inspired through rap lyrics and hip-hop album covers. That blog grew organically into the world’s largest and most engaged online art community, with more than 2 million of their followers under the age of 35.
The company collaborates with iconic contemporary artists like Jenny Holzer, Cai Guo-Qiang, Claire Tabouret and the Chapman brothers, making their work more accessible to younger collectors through sculpture editions, print editions and unique works on paper. And they have built a highly engaged community of next-generation art collectors, which means Avant Arte’s artist launches are heavily oversubscribed, with many behaving more like fashion drops, selling out in under 30 seconds.
The company’s vision is to inspire a generation of millions of young people who love art like they love music and who collect works like they build their wardrobe.
We’re currently a team of 85, split between London and Amsterdam, looking to scale to 60+ over the next 6 months. This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful early stage business at a pivotal moment in our growth, where you will have impact from day one.

WHAT WE NEED
Reporting into the Senior Producer, we’re looking for a highly motivated production coordinator to join our growing content team. We collaborate with some of the world’s leading artists and you’ll be making sure that every photo is briefed, planned and executed on time and on budget – capitalising on the unique access we have to these artists to create category defining content that can inspire our global community of over 2.4m instagram followers and our thriving collector base. We are growing fast, with the number of launches accelerating rapidly and with it the number of shoots we need to plan and execute globally.
We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved but the core of your role will involve:
Coordinating the production of product photography with our in house photographer in Amsterdam, and coordinating with our warehouse team to know what products can be shot and when
Coordinating any product shoots that need to happen externally
Arranging and managing artist studio shoots with external photographers around the world. Making sure every product shoot and artist studio shoot is delivered on brief, on budget and on time.
Managing all pre and post production, liaising with artists, logistics and ensuring we meet legal requirements.
Supporting with managing and reporting against the content budget – understanding the ROI for internal and external resources
Negotiating with our suppliers to ensure we’re getting the best value for money.
Comfortable and confident in addressing issues with shoot teams, troubleshooting to ensure the shoot gets back on track to the highest standards
Ensure shoots guides are followed and provide clarity for shoot teams in a timely manner.
Deliver every shoot to agreed start and finish times, meeting your set target and hitting (if not exceeding) creative benchmarks
Reviewing final images once they have gone through Post Production to ensure retouch, lighting, shot selection, main image and video all show the product off to highest agreed standards
The main skills we’re looking for are:
Passion for product photography: with relevant experience in the industry at photography producer level
You’re highly motivated and work well with people: allowing you to inspire and get the most out of our creative network. We have high creative standards, but even higher ambitions and we want you to exceed them
You’re creative and results focused: with a proven track record of delivering outstanding photography at pace and with tight budgets
You have excellent project management skills: and have a background in producing multiple shoots with multiple partners across numerous markets
You thrive in a fast paced environment: and understand the requirements of a tech business working in culture. You will have worked in businesses that are scaling rapidly and know how to scale yourself and the team around you to keep and then set the pace
You have a great eye for detail: and will be an outspoken champion for the brand as well as the content you produce
You are outspoken: with the confidence to challenge the way we do things, both internally and with clients to ensure we are always innovative in the way we work
Nice to haves:
Worked for a top culture and or tech brand, publisher or high growth start-up
Proven experience in a similar role with some e-comm studio experience
Network of people who we could work/ collaborate with is always a bonus
