Avant Arte wants to make art radically more accessible for a new generation. The company began as a cult blog of contemporary artists and grew organically into the world’s largest and most engaged online art community, with more than 2 million of their followers under the age of 35.
The company collaborates with iconic contemporary artists like Jenny Holzer, Cai Guo-Qiang, Claire Tabouret and Hank Willis Thomas, making their work more accessible to younger collectors through sculpture editions, print editions and unique works on paper of exceptional quality. And they have built a highly engaged community of next-generation art collectors, which means Avant Arte’s artist launches are heavily oversubscribed, with many behaving more like fashion drops, selling out in under 30 seconds.

We’re currently a team of 50, split between London and Amsterdam, looking to scale to more than 100 over the next 6 months. This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful, profitable, early-stage business at a pivotal moment in our growth, where you will have a big impact from day one.

WHAT WE NEED
Reporting into the Head of Content, this role puts you in charge of the operational engine of the content pipeline across copy, photography and video. We collaborate with some of the world’s leading artists and hottest emerging talent and you’ll be making sure that every photo and video shoot is briefed, planned and executed on time and on budget - capitalising on the unique access we have to these artists to create category defining content that can inspire our global community of over 2.4m instagram followers and our thriving collector base. We are growing fast, with the number of launches accelerating rapidly and with it the number of shoots we need to plan and execute globally.
The core of your role will involve:
Producing all artist and product photography and video shoots - ensuring they are delivered on brief, on budget and on time - developing the briefs, managing all pre and post production, liaison with artists, logistics and legal requirements.
Managing all of our copy requirements from product descriptions to artists bios.
Performance tracking and insights
Carefully managing and reporting against the content budget - understanding the ROI for internal and external resources.
Setting and reporting on team KPIs to key stakeholders and the wider business.
Collaboration & process improvement
Working with the Head of Content to build the internal Content Team and our external network of creatives - identifying where to deploy our resources in order to deliver the most impact.
Negotiating with our suppliers to ensure we’re getting the best value for money.
Supporting the Head of Content to ensure that all projects across the content team are scheduled, scoped and delivered on time.
Developing and improving our existing processes and flows - introducing and enhancing our documentation and templates to ensure we can scale at pace without compromising quality.
The main skills we’re looking for are:
You’re highly motivated and work well with people: allowing you to inspire and get the most out of our creative network. We have high creative standards, but even higher ambitions and we want you to exceed them!
You’re creative and results focused: with a proven track record of delivering outstanding photography and video shoots at pace and with tight budgets.
You have excellent project management skills: and have a background in producing multiple shoots with multiple partners across numerous markets.
You thrive in a fast paced environment: and understand the requirements of a tech business working in culture. You will have worked in businesses that are scaling rapidly and know how to scale yourself and the team around you to keep and then set the pace.
You have a great eye for detail: and will be an outspoken champion for the brand as well as the content you produce.
You’re data savvy and analytical: with the ability to plan, own and report on budgets and ROI.
You champion change; with a proven track record for finding new and better ways to streamline processes and deliver projects.
We think you’ll probably have:
Worked for a top culture and or tech brand, publisher or high growth start-up
We imagine 6+ years in a similar position, but if you’ve got the above experience in less time, even better.
